Our rhythm. Not the rulebook.

I’m Nicole. Late-diagnosed ADHD mom raising two neurospicy daughters and building the neurodivergent homeschooling systems I wish someone had handed me. This is us, figuring it out in real time.

How we got here

I couldn’t keep watching her confidence crumble.

Sophia wasn’t the disruptive kid. She was the daydreamer. The fidgeter. The one who was polite and quiet and compliant. And completely overlooked because of it. Report cards were telling us she couldn’t tell a story, didn’t know her letters, couldn’t do math. That wasn’t the kid we saw at home.

We tried to work with the system. We sought evaluations through the school district and pediatrician referrals to figure out what accommodations she needed. But the same struggles we saw in the classroom showed up in the school administration too. The capacity just wasn’t there.

So instead of spending the next few years troubleshooting and putting her through more anxiety, we made a different call. We are not enrolling Sophia or Leila next school year. We are building something at home where we have more control over the variables that actually impact their mental health and their education.

We are figuring out neurodivergent homeschooling together. And I am documenting all of it here.
